Homeshare is likely to become one the most popular ILO models of support amongst people with NDIS plans.
Setting up and running Homeshare arrangements is starkly different from traditional models of in-home support like drop-in support and SIL. Delivering a homeshare program requires organisations to have an entirely new set of operational core competences ranging from recruitment and vetting of housemates to mediation of relationships with family members.
For this full day workshop, we’ve partnered with HANZA Inc (who are the peak body for Homeshare in Australia and NZ and are successfully running a disability Homeshare program) to give practitioners, managers and executives with operational oversight a comprehensive overview of the Homeshare process.
We will cover:
· NDIS funding for Homeshare
· Mapping the Homeshare process
· The recruitment and matching process
· Referral and assessment for Homeshare
· Implementation
· Ongoing monitoring and redesign
We will also touch on key issues including the current limitations of industrial relations, building viable Homeshare ILO quotes and managing risk.
