This 2.5 hour workshop explores the key roles a Support Coordinator may play around child protection, including:
- Working collaboratively with child and family services
- Navigating the funding responsibilities of NDIS vs child protection and family services
- Identifying and supporting participants at risk of family violence
- Reporting obligations and documentation/case noting requirements

This 2 hour workshop explores best practice in supporting participants who have become involved in the criminal justice system, including:
- Assessing how complex factors (eg. comorbidities, guardianship and behavioural, family and cultural considerations) impact Support Coordination
- Identifying and prioritising supports
- Providing the right information to legal representatives
- Responding to abuse and neglect
- Best practice tips and checklists

Arguably one of the most common interfaces a Support Coordinator will encounter, this 2 hour workshop will cover:
- Unpacking the key funding responsibilities of Health and NDIS
- Understanding the key roles of Support Coordination and Discharge Planners
- Preparing for planned hospital admissions and discharges
- Supporting people with newly acquired disability and their families
- Resources and tips for supporting better health outcomes
Level: Intermediate - Advanced
This workshop series is designed for Support Coordinators who have been in their role for at least 6 months or who have attended DSC’s Support Coordination: 2 Day Intensive.
