This series of workshops is designed to build your knowledge and confidence in applying the NDIS practice standards. Learn from our experts and hear what other organisations are doing.
This hands-on, practical workshop is designed for small groups of like minded organisations to work together in documenting their evidence against the standards. Finish each session with a good understanding of the evidence you have to meet the standard and progress toward your continuous improvement plan. Come ready to work in a supportive environment, led by consultants who know their stuff and with fellow colleagues and peers who are on the same journey.
Here's how it works:
Enrol in your choice of modules
Come to one or come to all. Each session runs for 2 hours and will open 30 mins early for participants that have questions about the previous module they completed.
Work through DSC's Gap Analysis tool
Each participant will receive a gap analysis tool (for all modules) that they can work on throughout and between sessions
Practically exploring the standards
DSC will work through each standard, give examples of practical application, share resources and facilitate group activities to share evidence ideas.
Jess has worked in the community space for almost 2 decades across a broad range of roles including direct care, case management, coordination/management, quality assurance, policy, training, tender writing and as an unpaid carer. Her diverse experience has strengthened her flexible communication style, capacity to process, map and empathise with people interacting with the social, community and health systems at different points.
Jess takes a thorough and methodical approach to interpreting complex funding and audit guidelines, pre-empting questions and identifying any gaps in an organisation's position. Jess doesn’t talk like a typical QA officer though, she has vast experience producing documentation and systems that break down legislation and policy and believes that if quality and safeguarding arrangements are going to have effect they need to work on the ground. The stuff Jess produces is clear, simple to use, drives organisational efficiency and, most importantly, leads to better service.
Core Module Divisions
Rob has worked in and around the NDIS since its inception, including as owner-operator of a provider in a trial site. As well as this, his roles in the disability sector over the last 15 years have covered direct support work, project management, business development, consulting, and ILC-funded advocacy roles. As Founder and Director of a values-based NDIS service provider, he guided all areas of an organisation supporting several hundred people. Rob led every element of the organisation's setup and growth, from back-end systems and governance through to service delivery models, day-to-day operations and frontline worker training. He has experience across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and the UK including Board and Committee of Management roles. Combining a lived experience of the Early Childhood Early Intervention service with professional experience of the realities of life as a provider, Rob has a personal interest in ambitious service models and sustainable organisational structures.

Yes! Zoom can accommodate either so just let us know your preference when you register.
We want to maintain the intimacy of our face-to-face sessions and allow people to feel free to share their concerns and challenges so we’ve decided not to record the sessions. But we’ve created a recording of all the content (without any attendees) so you can catch up if you miss a session for any reason.
(Note: we will make an exception to this where someone requires the recording for accessibility reasons, but we’ll make all efforts to anonymise the content and remove sensitive information).
If your internet drops out, you’re welcome to join the same session at a later date. We’ve also made recordings of all of the content that you can watch at your leisure.
