The new psychosocial recovery coach support item is effective from 1 July. The concept combines the principles of recovery-oriented practice with life coaching and is focused on building meaning in people’s lives; uncovering resourcefulness and resilience.
The recovery coach could be a game changer in mental health, promoting the belief that people are the natural experts in their own lives and have the resources within to move beyond their diagnosis and reconnect with their capabilities and strengths.
